Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Partum Unit in Shawnee Mission, KS. The role focuses on caring for women after delivery and their newborns, with emphasis on recognizing unit workflows and risk factors, and providing discharge education.

Ideal candidates will be a licensed RN with BLS and NRP certifications and some postpartum experience. We offer travel-friendly employment and support through ARMStaffing’s clinical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Previous postpartum or similar nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized care to postpartum patients and newborns.
• Assess and identify risk factors related to sepsis, VTE/DVT, and other conditions.
• Provide discharge education and management of care.
• Utilize vitals machines and glucometers.
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues to ensure quality patient care.
