Saint Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. It offers a broad spectrum of tertiary and acute care, outpatient services, and specialty areas including Women's Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Behavioral Health. Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/Surg, and Telemetry.

Position Summary:

The Charge Nurse manages daily operations of a department to provide services for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizational, and medical staff goals. Responsible for promoting efficient operations to deliver effective nursing care, managing the department independently under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotes healthcare delivery within budgetary guidelines and is responsible for department(s) on a 24-hour basis.

Education:

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year RN experience.

Certifications:

  • Current license, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation, or policy; CPR certification.

Professional Requirements:
