Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Post-Partum RN to provide direct patient care to postpartum patients in a family-centered approach. You will deliver multidisciplinary obstetrical care to low- and high-risk postpartum patients and normal newborns, monitor progress, and assist with discharge planning.

The role offers mentorship, clinical education courses, certification support, and educational assistance to help you grow your nursing career.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• 1 year of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within30 daysof employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
