Job summary

Temple Health’s Episcopal Campus is seeking an RN to join the Med Surg pool. The RN assesses, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician, applying the nursing process and collaborating with patients, families, peers and the care team.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS, and PA RN license; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred and one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.

• Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Description

The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient’s family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.

Education

• Other Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty Preferred

Licenses

• PA Registered Nurse License Required
• Basic Life Support Required
• Multi State Compact RN License Required Or
