Cook Children's Staff RN in Prosper, TX is seeking a Pediatric ICU nurse for the third shift (7p–7a). You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill children within a highly collaborative unit.

The role encompasses 24 hours per week, an Associate's degree in Nursing, and an active TX RN license with BLS certification; PALS/NRP may be required per unit guidelines.

Qualifications

Summary:

The RN, Staff DU (Designated Unit) is responsible for delivering competent, individualized nursing care to patients and families by utilizing the nursing process to augment the established medical plan of treatment within a specific clinical unit. Operating with a strong team orientation, this nurse integrates sound clinical judgment and evidence-based decision-making to address the unique needs and acuity of the unit's patient population. The role emphasizes exceptional customer relations and professional communication, ensuring that care is delivered with both clinical precision and a high level of service excellence. By maintaining a focus on safety and collaborative practice, the RN Staff DU serves as a vital advocate for the patient while contributing to the overall effectiveness and specialized workflows of the designated clinical team.

Shift: 7p - 7a

24 hours per week

PICU experience preferred but will consider ICU/Critical Care experience.

Education/Experience:

• 1 year of direct nursing experience required.
• Associate's in Nursing.
• Active, unrestricted TX Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS - American Heart Association.

Post hire Requirements:

• PALS or NRP and specialty certifications per unit guidelines.
