Job summary

Atlas MedStaff LLC. seeks an experienced PICU Registered Nurse for a 14-week contract in Baltimore, Maryland. You will care for infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients in a dedicated 6-bed PICU, with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m., working 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include managing ventilators, arterial and central lines, and dysrhythmia interpretation, with float coverage across PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland.
• Experience in PICU caring for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and line management.
• Comfort with ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Willing to float within PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics units.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines as needed.
• Float between PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics units.
• Participate in orientation; 40 hours of training provided.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Job Description:

Join our team as a PICU Registered Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland, for a 14-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role offers an engaging opportunity to care for infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients in a dedicated 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at LBH – Sinai Hospital. You’ll manage complex cases including respiratory failure, sepsis, seizures, and more, often working with ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines. Expect to float within the PICU, NICU, and Pediatrics units, providing vital support where needed. The position is ideal for experienced nurses with strong dysrhythmia interpretation, line management, and pediatric sedation expertise. Orientation includes approximately 40 hours of virtual, clinical, and on-unit training to ensure you’re fully prepared to manage the challenges of this role. The assignment offers a competitive weekly gross pay of around $2,210.03.
