Description:The Vascular Access RN will assess the patient's need for placement of a vascular access device.The RN will determine the appropriate type and location for device placement.They will ensure the safety of line placement procedures.The RN will act as an expert in ultrasound-guided line placement for peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters.Under nursing leadership, the RN will assist with troubleshooting vascular access issues.They will provide expert guidance to team members managing these devices.The position requires weekend on-call rotation for on-call coverage.On-call duties include responding to emergencies as needed.The RN will be required to have a call back response time of 30 minutes for urgent situations.
