Cynet Health is seeking an RN - Perioperative for a 13-week assignment in Rochester, NY. The role is day shift, 9.5 hours per shift, with a 1-year RN requirement and NY license in hand. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EPIC experience is required.

The nurse will work in the holding area preparing patients for procedures and may float between assignments as needed. The position focuses on preparing ESRD, CKD, cancer, infections, and other complex cases, with no weekend or holiday

Description:This position is Monday through Friday only.There are no weekend or holiday shifts.The nurse will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures in the holding area.Patients may include those with ESRD, CKD, cancer, infections, IV access needs, GI/biliary conditions, vascular disease, and gynecologic disease.Special procedures performed in this unit include body interventional radiology procedures.These may involve the insertion of dialysis catheters, PICC lines, powerlines, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, mediports, stents, drains, G-tubes, chole tubes, biliary tubes, etc.Additional procedures include embolization, angiography, thoracentesis, paracentesis, thrombectomy, fistulagrams, kyphoplasty, and lumbar punctures.Biopsies for kidney, liver, lung, bone marrow, and other organs are also part of this role.Oncology procedures such as Y90 radioembolization, chemoembolization, and tumor ablations are included.In neuro interventional radiology, the nurse may participate in cerebral angiograms, stents, pipelines, and cerebral thrombectomy.No special equipment is required for this position.Regular equipment includes cardiac monitors, mobilization devices for patients, an iPad interpreter, BG machines, and urine pregnancy tests.The unit's daily census includes approximately 25 patients with a total of 5 beds.Interdisciplinary support is available from IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.Candidates should expect to float between different assignments as needed.
