Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a RN - Perioperative to support adult and pediatric patients in the pre/post-operative setting for a 13-week travel assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will provide perioperative care, assist with assessments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Required: Iowa license or compact license, BLS, EPIC EMR experience, and 12 months of perioperative or PACU experience; willingness to cover holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 24 months of current surgery, pre-operative, post-operative, or PACU experience.

Experience:

Minimum of 12 months of pre-operative or post-operative experience required.Must have at least one travel contract in pre/post-operative or same day surgery within the previous 15 months.Work history must include 24 months of current surgery, pre-operative, post-operative, or post-anesthesia care experience.

License:

Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider required.

Must-Have:

EPIC EMR experience required.Current or recent pediatric care experience required.

Description:Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to adult and pediatric patients.Common surgical procedures include myringotomy, tonsillectomy, septoplasty, orthopedic surgeries, hysterectomy, thoracotomy, gastric bypass, ureteroscopy, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, breast reconstruction, and general surgery.Assist with patient assessments and ensure patient safety.Educate patients and their families on care plans and recovery processes.Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, and team members.Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in a surgical setting.Manage care for diverse patient populations, both inpatient and outpatient.Flexibility to work holidays as required.Engage in continuous professional development and training.Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
