UNM Hospital is seeking an RN Per Diem III to provide direct nursing care in various specialties within Home Health Care. Candidates must possess a Program Graduate degree and current RN license in New Mexico.
This role requires at least one year of experience and entails responsibilities like delivering patient care, collaborating in care plans, and participating in emergency measures. Bilingual skills are a plus. Benefits include shift differentials and working conditions that address safety and equipment needs.
Receive 17% Weekday Nights, 26% Weekend Nights and 15% Weekend Day shift differentials. Compensation is based on experience, education, and other factors. Department: Home Health Care. FTE: 0.50. PRN. Shift: Days.
Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients consistent with clinical specialty (PCU/ICU/ED etc.), independent of patient location. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Minimum work requirement for RN Per Diem III is ten shifts per schedule. Two weekend shifts per schedule and one summer and one winter holiday are required. This position does not qualify for out of area float pay. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.
Essential Education: Program Graduate.
Non‑essential Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Essential Education Specialization: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate.
Non‑essential Education Specialization: Nursing.
Essential Experience: 1 year directly related experience.
Non‑essential Experience: Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo – 3 years directly related experience.
Essential Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days; RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM; Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Non‑essential Credentials: Nationally Certified in area of specialty; PALS; TNCC and/or ENPC.
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials require PPE. Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire and additionally as required.
