HCA Summerville Hospital in Summerville, SC is seeking a Pediatric RN for our 6-bed Pediatric/PICU unit on the night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.). The RN will deliver quality patient care through the nursing process and work under the Nursing Director or Supervisor.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to care for general pediatrics and PICU‑level patients, participating in quality improvement, and ensuring compliance with clinical regulations.

Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Pediatric/PICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice, federal, state, and local regulations, and incorporates knowledge of patient age‑specific development and cultural values into the plan of care. The RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstrates positive outcomes in patient delivery.
This is a full‑time, night shift (7 p‑7 a) position on our state‑of‑the‑art 6‑bed Pediatric/PICU unit. It is a swing-bed unit that serves general pediatric patients as well as PICU‑level care patients. The most common PICU patients are respiratory driven (asthma exacerbation, pneumonia), with volume largely derived from the Pediatric ER, general pediatric surgeons, and pediatric GI.
