Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license; Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
  • BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
  • ACLS- Provider card required within 6 months.
  • PALS- Provider card required within 6 months.
  • 2 years acute care pediatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Measure patient’s vital signs and initiate corrective actions if adverse signs appear.
  • Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
  • Assist treating physician during examinations, treatments and procedures.
  • Provide education, information, and support to patients’ families.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Pediatrics RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with an age range of 0-17 years. Care is provided to patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnosis. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Measure patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
  • Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
  • Provide education, information, and support to the patient’s family.
Job Requirements
