Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support individuals in hospital and residential settings. This role provides clinical leadership, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and focuses on high‑quality, person‑centered nursing care in a recovery‑oriented environment.

The RN will work on Pinecone/NDD unit, 11pm–7:30am, Full Time 32 hours weekly, with every‑other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• CPR certification required (BLS or CPR/AED/First Aid as applicable).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to provide culturally inclusive, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals’ nursing care needs and develop, implement, and reassess plans of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate and provide nursing care with physicians for individuals and groups.
• Provide milieu management and education, including discharge and aftercare planning.
• Maintain a safe environment for persons served and staff.
• Document, verify, and communicate patient care information.
• Monitor for safety risks or condition changes and report to providers.
• Serve as a clinical leader by delegating tasks and coordinating staff.
• Participate in safety management, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation.
• Support person‑centered, recovery‑focused care across populations.
