Job description

Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Milwaukie for a Registered Nurse to work with a pediatric patient for day shifts. The preferred schedule is Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 7am to 6pm, with flexible end times. The patient requires trach and g-tube care; he is active and attends school Monday through Friday during the school year.

Pay starts at $45 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services, as required.
• Initiate the plan of care as directed and request revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report to physicians or supervisors.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor and document effectiveness.
• Review care plans and protocols to identify education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility or state regulations).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
