Job summary

MGA Homecare in Denver, CO is seeking a Clinical Manager to supervise home health staff, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate patient plans of care, and mentor field LVNs, LPNs, and RNs.

You will develop treatment plans with physicians, review documentation for payer requirements, and lead ongoing quality improvement while representing MGA in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a Home Health or Acute setting preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities with strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of cost management for clinical services.
  • Current CPR card and current health certificate as applicable.
  • Current state driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Base salary of 74,000-78,000 plus weekly allowances.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise home care personnel as assigned.
  • Enforce compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate communication to implement each patient’s Plan of Care.
  • Instruct and re-educate on clinical skills and procedures when necessary.
  • Direct supervision of field LVNs, LPNs, and RNs per State guidelines.
  • Provide support, guidance, and education to patients, families, or caregivers.
  • Communicate occurrences to the Clinical Supervisor/Director of Clinical Services.
  • Report observed or suspected abuse or neglect as mandated.
  • Collaborate to resolve client or clinical concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans under physician direction; ensure timely documentation.
  • Review clinical documentation to meet payer requirements.
  • Interview and evaluate potential field staff for competency.
  • Participate in quality improvement by reporting incidents and risk management.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical competency.
  • Uphold MGA's mission and policies; maintain professional appearance and conduct.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures supervision of all home care personnel, as assigned.
  • Enforces and demonstrates compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensures effective communication to coordinate the implementation of each patient’s Plan of Care.
  • Instructs, trains, and re‑educates on clinical skills and procedures when necessary.
  • Responsible for direct supervision of field LVNs, LPNs, and RNs per State guidelines.
  • Provides support, guidance, and education to patients, patient families, or caregivers to maintain optimal physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Communicates all occurrences and other pertinent information to the Clinical Supervisor/Director of Clinical Services.
  • Ensures any observed or suspected child or adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation is reported to proper authorities as mandated for health professionals.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Supervisor and Director of Clinical Services to resolve client or clinical concerns in a timely manner.
Office Responsibilities to Ensure and/or Facilitate the Following
  • Develops and implements the treatment plan for each patient under the direction of a physician, completing all clinical documentation in a timely manner, including admissions, recertifications, and resumptions of care, and ensuring that documentation meets all agency policies and State regulations.
  • Reviews clinical documentation to ensure it is complete and reflects skilled services to meet payer source requirements for reimbursement.
  • Interviews and evaluates potential clinical field staff to ensure competency in order to promote appropriate/safe patient care.
  • Complies and participates in continuing quality improvement by appropriately reporting incidents, injuries, infections, and all components of the risk‑management program.
  • Participates in agency‑sponsored continuing education services and conferences to maintain own clinical competency.
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively, including representing themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community, adhering to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance, reporting on time, and complying with all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook or communicated by the executive team.
Clinical Manager Oversight

  • Assuring the development, implementation, and updates of the individualized plan of care.
