Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. This role provides intermediate-care nursing with telemetry monitoring, acute observation, and timely interventions.

You will administer medications per orders, perform ongoing assessments, educate patients and families, and document care in the medical record. Arizona RN licensure, ADN/BSN, BLS and ACLS are required; med-surg or telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Nursing required.
• 1 year med-surg or telemetry experience preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry and vital signs to identify early signs of patient deterioration.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and unit protocols.
• Performs ongoing patient assessments and communicates changes in condition to the care team.
• Provides patient and family education on disease process, medications, and discharge planning.
• Assists with patient mobility, activities of daily living, and safety precautions.
• Documents care provided and patient response in the medical record.

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Provides nursing care to patients requiring a level of monitoring and intervention between general medical-surgical care and intensive care. Manages patients with cardiac, respiratory, or other conditions requiring close observation, telemetry monitoring, and timely intervention.

Education & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of med-surg or telemetry nursing experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
