Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Florida team at Maitland, a city within the Orlando area. You will provide comprehensive patient care across the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and staff, and ensure safety and quality in a dynamic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with strong communication and critical thinking skills. PRN night shifts offer an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and therapies per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to other team members as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations promptly and intervene to stabilize patients.
