Openwork Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (RN – PCU) to deliver intermediate-level care and closely monitor patients in a collaborative clinical environment. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and teamwork with interdisciplinary colleagues to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, PCU or stepdown experience, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Experience in PCU, intermediate care, or stepdown.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications as specified by facility policies.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PCU setting.
• Monitor patients with complex health conditions requiring close observation.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Coordinate care and document accurately in medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies with critical thinking and nursing skills.
• Support patient education and discharge planning to promote recovery.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
