Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Resource Float Pool across our two Tucson campuses (Level I Trauma 625 beds at BUMC-Tucson and Level IV Trauma 245 beds at BUMC-South). The role supports Adult Health units including Observation, Med Surg, PCU and IMC, with occasional float to ED or PACU.

Candidates must hold an active RN license with PCU/Acute Care experience, be proficient in medication administration and EHR documentation, and demonstrate strong patient

Qualifications

• Active RN license with current PCU/Acute Care experience.
• Proven medication administration experience with accurate dosing and documentation.
• Strong patient monitoring and rapid escalation to appropriate care teams.
• Familiarity with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent bedside nursing documentation and use of EHR systems.
• Collaborative, multi-disciplinary teamwork and care transition coordination.
• Commitment to infection prevention, safety, and a clean care environment.
• Ability to meet productivity targets and demonstrate personal accountability.
• Participation in on-site onboarding, mentorship, and continuous professional development.
• Data-driven mindset with use of metrics to identify care improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients across units including Observation, Med Surg, PCU and IMC.
• Monitor patient status and escalate to appropriate care teams as needed.
• Document care accurately using the EHR system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth care transitions.
• Participate in on-site onboarding and pursue ongoing professional development.

Job description

Level I Trauma and large hospital experience is required. The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout our 2 campuses, BUMC-Tucson (Level I Trauma 625 beds) and BUMC-South (Level IV Trauma 245 beds), to provide support where necessary. BUMC-Tucson Campus has the following Adult Health units with patients that range from Observation (2 units), Med Surg (4 units), to PCU and IMC (total 11 units). PCU travelers may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the ED or the PACU to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit. BUMC-South Campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from BUMC-Tucson. It has 4 Adult Health units (1 OBS, 2 PCU, and 1 MS) which they may float.
