Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for the PCU on a 13-week contract in Mount Airy, NC. Shift is night, with 12-hour shifts, ensuring continuity of care for adult patients. The unit emphasizes telemetry monitoring and acute care in a step-down setting.

You will work in a telemetry-enabled PCU, managing central lines, administering blood products, and supporting high-flow oxygen therapy. ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Stroke Life Support certifications are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Stroke Life Support certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in Step Down/PCU is required.
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and central line care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult PCU patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Administer medications, including blood products.
• Manage central lines and IV therapy.

Description:RTO after booking is not allowed.Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could lead to cancellation.DNR is required.Orientation is 24 hours.Traveler must be available for classes each day.Unit has a patient ratio of 1:4.Six weekends required for a 13-week contract.Floating may occur if census is low.Unit does not manage vents.Patients are primarily adults with diagnoses similar to ICU cases.Daily census is approximately 10 patients.There are 12 beds in the unit.All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting this specialty.
