Job summary
Texas Health Resources in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the PCCU Surgical Telemetry team on a full-time days schedule. This 35-bed unit provides high-acuity telemetry care for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, with self-scheduling and a 4:1 to 5:1 patient ratio depending on acuity.
You will assess and plan patient care, monitor interventions, and ensure age-appropriate safety. Requirements include nursing diploma or degree, RN license upon hire, BCLS/ACLS, CPI training,
Qualifications
- Nursing diploma or degree required
- Associate's degree in nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- 1 year RN experience or RN residency required
- RN upon hire required
- BCLS required and maintained quarterly
- ACLS required within 90 days
- CPI training maintained annually
- BCMSN preferred
- CRRN preferred
- PCCN preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures
- Initiate action to meet information needs of patient and family
- Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers
- Deliver care using the Nursing Process
