Job summary

Veterans Health Administration’s Cincinnati VA Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse-Patient Safety Manager to lead patient safety initiatives and help advance the culture of safety across VA facilities and patient care settings.

The PSM-RN will support development and operation of the facility's patient safety processes and contribute to standard of care improvements while collaborating with NCPS and VA leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license (unrestricted) required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates performance and beginning leadership skills that start to impact the standard of care and safety of staff while caring for all patients throughout the continuum of care.
• Functions as the lead manager and implementer of patient safety policies and activities developed by the National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) Facility's key person to help build and implement patient safety systems and promote the culture of safety within Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities and for VA patients in all healthcare settings.
• Provides direct support is provided to the development, maintenance, and operation of the VHA's patient safety process at the facility level.
