Texas Health Huguley is seeking an experienced RN to join the Patient Placement and Transfer Center. This role focuses on bed management, coordinating with referring physicians and transferring hospitals to optimize patient flow and access.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, current RN licensure, and 2+ years in acute or critical care. You will collaborate across departments in a day shift, with opportunities for professional growth and impact on patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Nursing required.
• Master's of Nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical experience required.
• Acute care or critical care experience preferred.
• Experience in patient placement or transfer center preferred.
• RN license required.
• BLS/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with referring physicians and transferring hospitals regarding bed availability or access delays.
• Continuously re-evaluates patient placement requests and adjusts staffing and bed management plans accordingly.
• Evaluates available beds and develops contingency plans with charge staff to ensure uninterrupted patient operations.
• Identifies needs and opportunities for operational improvements to enhance patient access and bed turnaround.
• Initiates, promotes, and participates in interdisciplinary collaboration regarding patient placement.
• Supports and promotes excellence in customer and guest relations.
• Maintains a professional, collaborative, and congenial rapport with internal and external contacts.
