Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking a RN Registered Nurse Patient Flow Lead for the Patient Logistics team at Hershey Medical Center. The role focuses on real-time capacity management, transfer coordination, and ensuring high-quality patient placement across the health system.

You will support the Transfer Center Liaison and Patient Placement Coordinator roles, ensuring staffing coverage and timely referral acceptance while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate real-time patient flow and bed availability across the hospital network.
• Support transfer center liaison and patient placement coordinator roles to ensure staffing and call acceptance.
• Escalate critical clinical issues related to hospital transfers and patient placement in real time.
