Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX seeks a rotating shift, part-time One Call Patient Logistics Coordinator (RN) to manage patient admissions across the system, applying clinical judgment to determine eligibility and placement while coordinating with facilities, physicians, and nursing staff.

You will triage admissions, monitor throughput, and support transfer center operations to reduce delays and improve patient flow. An RN license and ED/ICU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Multi-State Licensure as an RN.
• 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Must be proficient in EMTALA.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient admissions across the Ardent Health system by applying clinical expertise and judgment to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement.
• Conduct initial admission screenings using standardized clinical criteria to determine eligibility and alignment with hospital policies.
• Operate with a high level of autonomy, making independent decisions in complex clinical scenarios to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization.
• Perform detailed triage assessments to evaluate patient acuity and prioritize admissions based on urgency and available resources.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
