Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Registered Nurse in Ohio to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and educate patients and families for effective discharge planning.

Eligible candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, an Ohio RN license, and BLS. Prior psychiatric nursing and med/surg experience is preferred; CPI training is a plus. All duties support hospital mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• CPI training.
• Previous psychiatric nursing and med/surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver patient care.
• Educates the patient and family and participates in discharge planning.
• Performs medication administration in a timely, accurate manner.
• Responds appropriately to emergencies and collaborates with care teams.
