Job summary

ECU Health in North Carolina seeks a registered nurse to provide coordinated care in accordance with the NC Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The role delivers nursing care following ECU Health policies and professional standards.

You will collect assessment data, develop a plan of care with patient and family, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and document progress, while considering age-specific needs throughout the patient journey. This position supports a Magnet-designated center.

Qualifications

• RN experience is required.
• Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assures healing without harm through safety habits, routine rounding, and daily safety huddles.
• Obtains and interprets initial and ongoing patient assessment data and informs the nursing plan of care.
• Uses assessment data to formulate a relevant nursing plan of care.
• Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary team to set realistic and measurable outcomes.
• Develops an individualized plan of care including learning needs for optimal health and transition across the continuum.
• Implements interventions identified in the plan of care and monitors patient needs across the lifespan.
• Systematically evaluates and documents patient progress toward outcomes.
