Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (CT). The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes while supporting patients and families.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care, and hold RN licensure.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure and/or compact state licensure required
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes and patient care documentation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and unit protocols.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions when needed.
