Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Texas RN license or permit to practice in Texas.
• BLS from American Heart Association or obtained during orientation.
• Ongoing compliance with clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
• Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources.
• Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
• Assesses risks to patient safety and implements appropriate precautions.
• Complies with organization- and accrediting agency standards.
• Adheres to safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self and others.
