Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Family Planning Department in Buffalo, NY. The RN will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Family Planning Medical Provider.

The role requires NY RN licensure, an Associates or Bachelor’s in Nursing, and at least one year of ambulatory healthcare experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants.
• Triage patient phone calls and visits.
• Offer case management and care to patients requiring nurse-only visits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests and collect/process specimens.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Review lab results and report abnormal findings.
• Manage supplies for patient rooms and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain the integrity of medical records and provide patient education.

Physical Demands

This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Some evening work may be required.

Salary Range: $37.80/hr. - $47.30/hr.
