Job summary

Pleasantview Nursing Facility in Kalona, IA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for long term care. The role covers the second shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) on Fridays and Saturdays, delivering compassionate, high‑quality nursing care to residents.

You will administer medications, monitor vitals, document in EHR, coordinate with physicians and CNAs, and support residents and families. Iowa RN license required; new grads welcome; includes weekend and shift differentials and benefits.

Registered Nurse for Long Term Care

We are looking for part-time, every Friday and Saturday second-shift registered nurse who is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to some of the world's wisest people. For the residents they look after, these nurses become an essential part of their lives.It requires a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to be an RN at Pleasantview. Pleasantviewwelcomed its first residents in1958.We are a faith-based, not-for-profit, small-town, caring community. Our recently remodeledbuildings house 50skilled nursing beds, 16 dementia care rooms, and 28assisted living suites. The community also includes 57 independent living units.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal treatment plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control protocols.
• Coordinatethe work of Certified Nursing Assistants.

Work Hours:

We have a part-time every Friday and Saturday2nd shift position available. 2nd shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Compensation:

pay ranges from $31 to $45 an hour
