Job summary

Swagel Wootton Eye Institute in Arizona is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our ophthalmology clinic. The ideal candidate provides compassionate patient care, explains procedures, and supports the care team with timely nursing interventions.

Responsibilities include assessing cardio-respiratory status, administering treatments, maintaining asepsis, and educating patients and families while safeguarding privacy. Availability every Friday is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current ARIZONA RN license.
• BCLS certification preferred.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Must be available to work every Friday.

Responsibilities

• Approaches patients in a kind, gentle and friendly manner and provides explanations.
• Performs nursing procedures and coordinates with care team.
• Monitors cardio-respiratory status and medications; documents changes.
• Assesses and responds to patient conditions and administers treatments.
• Maintains asepsis and safety during procedures and protects patient privacy.
• Provides patient and family teaching and discharge instructions.
