What you will do
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations requiring immediate medical intervention.
- Initiate emergency measures as needed and assist with maintenance of crash cart.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs to provide supportive care before, during and after procedures.
- Assist physicians with procedures, including handling and maintaining accurate records of medications and specimens.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment, including cleaning, disinfection, and daily maintenance of equipment.
- Initiate IVs for patient sedation prior to procedures.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Participate in patient education pre‑ and post‑procedure.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Assist physicians with management of office visits and patient education.
- Communicate with patients as applicable, maintaining patient‑centered data in a neat and organized manner.
- Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies.
- Perform IV insertion, medication administration, infusion monitoring, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, phlebotomy, and discharge as policies indicate.
What you bring
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required.
- Solid nursing background with experience or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.
- Priority setting, judgment, communication skills, and tact.
Hours
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
