Job summary

St. Mary’s Medical Center is actively seeking a Special Full-Time RN for the PACU department. You will participate in daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of patient care with nursing staff and other health care professionals, ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to standards of care.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an approved School of Nursing with a WV RN license or a valid compact state license and BLS certification. Experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or a valid compact state license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor patient care with the nursing staff and health care professionals.
• Ensure effective use of resources and maintain established standards of care to meet outcomes within appropriate length of stay.
• Assist with management needs of the Nursing Unit and document variations based on patient needs.

Ensures that variations based on patients' individual needs are justified and well documented. Assists with the management needs of Nursing Unit.

Experience preferred but not required.Knowledge of current nursing procedures. BLS required.Graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of West Virginia or a valid compact state nurse license.
