Qualifications

  • BLS certification required; ICU or PACU experience preferred.

Job description

Description:

RN PACU- Holding Area - FT Days - Piedmont Eastside

Hours are 4 X 10 hour shifts. 6:30 am- 5pm

***PACU or ICU experience required. Holding area is used for patients needing nerve blocks for Ortho cases, such as total knee and shoulder replacements. This RN will also assist with other bedside procedures, such as arterial line placement. This area will also hold all patients coming from patient units, including ICU/CCU, who are waiting for surgery. This nurse may also work in PACU, when needed.

  1. Sophisticated and advanced outpatient and inpatient surgical services, including robotic surgery and endovascular hybrid suite.
  2. Outpatient and Inpatient Surgery
  3. Comprehensive Endoscopy Services
  4. High volume Endovascular Surgery, including TCAR and EVAR.
  5. Three Intuitive Da Vinci Robots for Surgery
  6. Mako Robotic Surgery for Total Knee replacements
  7. State of the Art Laparoscopic Surgery with Stryker SPY-PHU 4K Fluorescence capability
  8. Advanced Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery with Stealth Technology
  9. Advanced and Robotic Urology Surgery
  10. High volume Orthopaedics including Total Joint Replacements
  11. Operating Room Extern Program Periop 101
  12. ICU level PACU Services

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
