To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.
Physical and cognitive requirements include a full range of body motion such as assisting patients physically, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. The position is classified as Very Heavy Work according to USDOL standards, involving exerting over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Follow NIOSH guidelines, which recommend not lifting more than 51 pounds without assistance. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant communication in English are required. Ability to perform tasks accurately, pay attention to details, and adapt to changing priorities without loss of efficiency or composure. Capable of functioning effectively in stressful situations and working cooperatively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Effective time management and problem-solving skills are essential for delivering quality care.
