Job summary

Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care in perioperative services. You will communicate with physicians, unit directors and coworkers about changes in patient condition or response to treatment, and perform general nursing duties with minimal supervision.

Required: Associate degree or higher in Nursing; Texas RN licensure; BLS; ACLS and PALS within 6 months; immunizations; 1 year experience

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Nursing.
• Licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.
• PALS within 6 months of employment.
• 1 year of prior nursing experience preferred.
• Immunization Records required.

Scope of Responsibility

Registered Nurses are to provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians, Unit Directors and co-workers as appropriate in regard to changes in patients condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all acute care and out-patient settings with minimal supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities and core measure compliance.

• Education
• Associate Degree Nurse or Bachelor of Science Nursing
• Training and Experience
• Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Obtains and maintains ACLS within 6 months of employment
• Obtains and maintains PALS within 6 months of employment
• 1 year previous experience preferred
