Job Summary

Hours range: M-F between the hours of 7am -9pm

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients, and exercising clinical judgment in the delivery of nursing care. Ensures nursing care is provided safely, competently, and in accordance with established standards. Provides individualized nursing care and evaluates the effectiveness of care provided to groups of patients.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains accurate and detailed patient reports and records.
  • Administers medications to patients and monitors for adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitors, documents, and reports symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Consults and collaborates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses, conditions, and clinical needs.

Experience

Clinical nursing experience 3-5years of experience in an ER, ICU or PACU required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
