Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for PACU duties in Enid, Oklahoma. This 13-week assignment is day shift, 8-hour shifts, requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and Phase 1 PACU exposure. BLS/PALS/ACLS are needed, with BSN preferred.

Candidates must hold an active Oklahoma RN license and be able to work independently. Responsibilities include monitoring recovery, updating the medical team, documenting vitals in EMR, and educating patients and families on post-surgery care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor post-operative patients' recovery and consciousness.

  • Administer medications as prescribed and manage pain/nausea.
  • Educate patients and families on post-surgery care.

  • Experience in a level I trauma center preferred

License:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district required

Certifications:

  • PALS, BLS, and ACLS required
  • CPAN, TNCC, and CCRN highly desirable

Must-Have:

  • Ability to think critically and work independently
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • BSN highly desired

Description:Monitor post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia.Provide updates to the medical team as needed.Obtain and record patients' vital signs.Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia.Administer medication as prescribed.Update charting (EMR), patient files, and medical records.Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care.Answer any questions they may have.
