Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a registered nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team for a 13-week contract. The role supports patients in the PACU, with a 12-hour shift, 08:00–08:30 days. A minimum of 2 years of RN experience, plus BLS and ACLS, is required.

Critical care or PACU experience is preferred. Collaboration with a dedicated team is essential. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, airway and IV management, ECG, and urgent nursing tasks.

Description:The role involves working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.The unit has 10-11 beds with 5-6 nurses working daily.The typical patient ratio is 2:1.Staff shifts are from 0800-0830 for days and 0900-0930 for nights.Equipment used includes patient monitors, IV, EKG, and EMR.On-call requirement includes 5-6 shifts a month along with 2 weekend shifts.No floating is required in this position.Candidates must have critical care experience or PACU experience of more than 2 years.Typical procedures include removal of oral or nasal airways, oxygen titration, and bladder scanning.Other responsibilities include straight catheterization, ECG monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, and dressing reinforcement.Candidates must be proficient in specimen handling, airway management, and IV medication administration.The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.This position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team and provide quality patient care.New equipment and technology may be available to enhance the work experience.Staff members have tenure and experience, which fosters a supportive environment.
