Bozeman Health is seeking a Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology to support clinic providers in delivering coordinated patient care and education. The role focuses on device interrogation, follow-up planning, and maintaining essential databases within the Device Clinic.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, Montana RN licensure, and current BLS; ACLS must be completed within 60 days of start. Prior experience with pacemakers/ICD devices is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
  • Montana RN licensure in good standing.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification within 60 days of start date.

Responsabilités

  • Interrogating devices, monitoring and documenting patients' response to device therapy or changes in settings; remote pacemaker follow-up management.
  • Arranges and coordinates follow-up care for patients in the Device Clinic.
  • Maintenance of Device Clinic database.
  • Performs other patient tests and treatments as indicated by the Clinic provider, including Spirometry, EKGs, Event-Holter Monitors and Ziopatch.
  • Keep examination rooms clean and stocked; orders supplies.
  • Collaborate with provider to coordinate care for Clinic walk-in patients.
  • Provide support and education to patients with pacemakers and/or ICDs and with diagnosis of various dysrhythmias.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology assists clinic providers and staff in the deliverance and coordination of patient care, in order to facilitate patient satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and provider productivity. This position is responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the healthcare team. Registered Nurses plan and implement patient and family education. The Nurse Practices Act and Administrative Rules of the state of Montana govern registered Nursing practice.

Required
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing
  • Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within sixty (60) days of start date.
  • 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred
  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification within 36 months of hire
  • Experience with pacemaker and ICD devices for Biotronic, Medtronic, St. Jude Medical and Boston Scientific.
  • Understanding of cardiac arrhythmia management and EKG interpretation of arrhythmias.

  • Arranges and coordinates follow-up care for patients in the Device Clinic.

  • Performs other patient tests and treatments as indicated by the Clinic provider, to include Spirometry, EKG's, Event-Holter Monitors and Ziopatch (application, decontinuation, interpretation)
  • Keep examination rooms clean and stocked. Orders supplies.
  • Collaborate with provider to coordinate care for Clinic walk-in patients.
  • Provide support and education to patients with pacemakers and/or ICD's and with diagnosis of various dysrhythmias (ablation patients).
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Requirements
  • This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
  • The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
