Overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse – On Call to join our hospice team. The schedule is weeknights, Monday to Thursday, overnight from 5 pm to 8 am.

The RN will report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager and will maintain primary control and professional management of each patient. The RN will act as the primary liaison between physicians, patients, families, and the hospice team.

• Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients and supportive care to the patient’s family after normal business hours on an on-call basis.
• Manage an interdisciplinary team consisting of Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and support staff to enhance the quality of hospice care.
• Evaluate patient and family needs and assist in the preparation and execution of the care plan for each patient.
• Maintain all assigned patient clinical records.
• Participate in company quality assessment and performance improvement programs.

About You

• Compassionate, kind, and empathetic to your patients and their families.
• A current RN license (in the state of requested employment or ability to obtain).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or oncology preferred.
