Location: The Sanctuary - Regional Cancer Center

Department: LPG Oncology Physicians

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.27 - $40.86 / hour

Summary

The Bonita Community Health Center is seeking an experienced RN to join their Outpatient Cancer Center. This RN will predominantly perform phone triage and follow up calls to patients, working within our EMR system, EPIC. The ideal RN will have oncology experience to better assist this patient population. Critical thinking skills and good documentation skills are important.

Responsible for providing an excellent patient experience while delivering and documenting safe patient care through utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with the physician, practice leadership and other care team members. Provides oversight and coordination of nursing care delivered in the practice setting or telephonically, ensuring the care delivered is effective, efficient and achieves desired patient outcomes. responsible for supporting and guiding the care team in collaboration with the practice and physician leadership based on treatment plan, established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. Demonstrates proficient utilization of available tools and resources which supports the unlicensed and licensed clinical staff including but not limited to: educating, mentoring, competency validation and evaluating. Contributes to the provision of quality care in the office setting through excellence in customer service and utilization of performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. This position has the knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills and behaviors appropriate to serve as a resource for internal and external customers regarding patient care.

Requirements

Education Requirements: Associates degree from accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelors preferred.

Experience Requirements: Office/outpatient experience preferred. Experience requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements.

Certification Requirements:Certification in Ambulatory Nursing preferred. Certification requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements. Specialty Areas: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

License Requirements: Currently licensed in the State of Florida.

Other Requirements:Above average communication skills. Adaptable and participative with technology changes.
