Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under physician direction, including labs, treatments and medications, while applying the nursing process to assess and guide care.

The RN will collaborate with the care team and support quality initiatives and patient education. The candidate should graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold PA RN licensure, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills; BSN and outpatient experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Strong leadership ability, organizational skills and sound judgment.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to a diverse audience.
• Preferred BSN and outpatient/healthcare setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care per standards and policies.
• Collect health data including vitals and pain assessment.
• Administer medications/immunizations per physician order.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control practices.
• Coordinate communication between patients, families and care teams.
• Participate in education and quality improvement activities.
