Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for 7N Surgery Orthopedics at Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy in Charlotte, NC. This full-time night shift (1900-0700) includes weekends and holidays, with 36 hours per week and a competitive pay range.

The RN will apply the nursing process, provide patient- and family-centered care, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and participate in professional development and safety initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with compact or state privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses the nursing process from admission to post-discharge.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the team.
• Maintains accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area as needed.
