UPMC Passavant’s 5 North Pavilion is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse to support orthopedic and urological surgery services. The unit offers strong teamwork, opportunities for teaching, and a structured Nursing Career Ladder to advance your professional goals.

RNs will provide patient education, participate in quality improvement, and maintain high standards of care while rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• 0–6 months nursing experience preferred.
• Certification from Orthopedic Nursing Certification Board (ONCB) encouraged and supported.

Responsabilités

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients, families and care teams.
• Provides teaching to patients and families to guide care and transitions.
• May serve as a preceptor and support student and new staff.
• Formulates daily goals and care plans in partnership with patients.
• Documents patient care to promote clear communication among providers.
• Contributes to quality improvement efforts within the department.
