The AGH Ortho Unit is a 44-bed unit, specializing in:

• Ortho/Trauma
• Joint replacement
• Spinal and cervical fusions
• Higher acuity neuro necks and backs

Allegheny General Hospital:

• Level I Shock Trauma Center
• Five state-of-the-art ICUs
• State-of-the-art Cancer Center
• 550+ beds

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Responsible for a designated patient population, providing care based on the nursing process. Assesses learning needs and provides education tailored to age, culture, and willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements include:

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC
• One year of general nursing experience; experience on the specific unit preferred
