Job summary

Indiana University Health Methodist's 4S Surgical Orthopedic Trauma Unit seeks a dedicated RN for night shift. This 29-bed unit specializes in orthopedic traumas, post-op care, and complex patient management with strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Indiana (NLC allowed) and ASN, with BSN preferred. BLS and possible advanced life support may be required per unit policies. IU Health supports growth and education.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions considered for >2 years acute care experience with CNO review.
• BLS certification required; additional life support may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to orthopedic trauma patients on night shift.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the care team.
• Monitor patient status, administer meds, and document accurately.
• Prioritize care and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Support postoperative care and patient education as needed.
