Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital, part of Highmark Health, is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse for the Ortho Trauma Spine unit. The unit specializes in complex orthopedic, trauma and spine care, including joint replacements and neurosurgical procedures.

This role involves telemetry patients and occasional adolescent trauma cases. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform nursing assessments, and develop/execute care plans from admission to discharge, ensuring patient education

Qualifications

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through eNLC
• CPR certification

THE UNIT

The Allegheny General Ortho/Trauma/Spine Unit is a 57 bed telemetry unit . The Unit specializes in the care of patients with complex Ortho/Trauma needs, as well as joint replacements and neurosurgical spine surgeries. On an occasional basis, this unit also handles the care of adolescent pediatric trauma patients .
