Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg unit at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The role delivers exceptional nursing care, collaborates with the care team, and uses strong organizational skills to monitor patient status and outcomes.

The position requires at least 1 year of RN experience, with a preference for acute care background, a valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS as applicable. Work shift is days with 24 weekly hours in Youngstown, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• One year of RN experience (required).
• Six months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care).
• ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, monitor patient condition.
• Evaluate, update and revise care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Administer medications safely per Mercy Health policies and procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned to support patient care.
